Movies:
full movies on the site. The episodes are split into three movies. There are five choices in viewing the movies, three streaming, two downloads. Streaming: choose between dial-up and broadband connection. Either will give you movie segments of one minute in length. However, the increased speed for dial-up comes at a reduction in quality and size of picture. There are generally about 35-45 segments to the movies, and a link to the next clip at the bottom of each page. However, it can take up to 30 seconds to buffer a clip before you can view it. The final streaming option seems to be only for those with super-fast broadband connections. Each update seems to be streamable in one go, but this is usually at the higher end of 20-45 MB, the time it takes to buffer is prohibitive. Download: These range from 20-45 Mb in size, depending on the length of the video shoot. These are asf (windows audio/video) files. Each movie lasts between 10-15 minutes on average (usually 10, 10 and up to 15) and allow you to watch the complete audition session in as few installments as possible. The quality is high, although the display is optimized at about 4x6 inches any bigger, such as full screen, and quality is sacrificed. The actual filming is being done with a hand-held video camera, but our cameraman is quite the expert at getting to just the right point in the action. The soundtrack is thankfully free of irritating music, sticking to the conversation, moans and slurping!
